Upgrading from ColdFusion 7 MX to ColdFusion 8

In the release of ColdFusion 8, Adobe did not deprecate any of the ColdFusion MX 7 coding. So, websites built in that previous framework should work in the new version.

To transition to the latest version of ColdFusion, you need to follow these steps for upgrading your plan through the Change Plan Request tool in the WebControlCenter.

1. Login into the WebControlCenter.

2. Access Customer > Support Requests > Change Plan Requests from the Menu.

3. Select the ColdFusion plan you want from the drop-down menu.

4. Click next to submit your plan change request.

5. Provide an email address and any comments to our Support Team.  Click submit to complete your change plan request.

Support will then move your site to a ColdFusion 8 server and inform you via email when the move has been completed. Please allow 24 hours for your request to be completed.

Please note:

**ColdFusion 8 plans support MySQL 5, MS SQL 2005, & MS SQL 2008. MS SQL 2000 and MySQL 4 are no longer supported.**
